Returns & refunds
Last updated: June 2026. This is a general template and should be reviewed by your legal adviser before launch.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Faulty or dead-on-arrival (DOA) items
If an item arrives faulty or fails within its warranty period, contact us and we'll arrange assessment, repair, replacement or refund as appropriate. Please report DOA items promptly (typically within 7 days of delivery) so we can resolve them quickly.
Change of mind
We are not required to provide a refund for change of mind, but we may accept a return at our discretion where the item is unused, in original sealed packaging and returned within 14 days. A restocking fee and return freight may apply. Special-order and clearance items may not be eligible.
How to request a return
- Email orders@htcomputers.com.au with your order number (HT-XXXXXX) and a description of the issue.
- We'll issue a return authorisation and instructions.
- Pack the item securely with all accessories and send it as directed.
Refunds
Approved refunds are made to your original payment method. Please allow a few business days for the funds to appear after we receive and assess the returned item.
Exclusions
Software licences, consumables and special-order items may be non-returnable except where required by law. See also our warranty page.
